Delta-NTU Corporate Laboratory invites applications for the position of Project Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying existing methodologies for the tasks to be performed.
- Assist with prototype of fixtures needed for testbed using conventional manufacturing and 3D printing techniques.
- Should be able to setup connectivity between the hardware and software for various sensors and devices.
- Must be familiar with Robot programming, control and calibration including but not limited to URDF generation, Computer Vision integration, inverse kinematics and motion planning.
- Responsible for establishing the experimental setup and designing of experiments for force-sensing.
- Conducting trials to collect data and analyse it as well as implementation of suitable learning algorithms.
- Evaluating the results obtained from the automation of the high-impact tasks with the help of available models, if any.
- Writing and submission of a detailed final report on the project milestones.
- Publishing key research findings in rigorous peer-reviewed journals/conferences.
Job Requirements:
- Possess Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering, with preference for Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in motion-planning and calibration of 6 DOF/7 DOF robotic arms.
- Industrial experience highly sought after
- Experience in working with sensors and other mechatronic components preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication and writing in English.
- Strong sense of responsibility for research / work.
