What you will do:
As a Vertical Solution Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting industry-specific solutions for our organization. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, and product development to understand industry trends, customer needs, and technical requirements. Your primary focus will be on tailoring our products or services to meet the unique challenges and opportunities within a specific vertical market.
Externally, you will be closely working with customer and consulting engineers for an in-depth understanding of Customer/consultant needs and influence tender specification as per Johnson Controls offerings and differentiators. Analyzing product and solution gaps with respect to competition offerings and vertical market needs will be some of the key aspects.
How you will do it:
- Provide expert consultation as subject matter expert in field of vertical solutions.
- Lead/ Be accountable engineering/ solutions in the pre-sales phase in creating and delivering compelling end-to-end solutions across the Asia Pacific.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the specific industry vertical you are assigned to.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Design and propose customized solutions that align with the unique needs of the targeted industry vertical.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment with business goals and strategies.
- Assist in the implementation of solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful integration.
- Act as a technical liaison between the organization and clients, building strong relationships and understanding client goals.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution architectures, implementation guides, and best practices.
- Ensure key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated, and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Act as a liaison and communication channel between Operation and technology on issue resolution, status, project execution and prioritization.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology relevant to the assigned industry vertical.
What we look for:
- Relevant experience (10-15 years) in Building management, Controls, Fire, Access, SCADA & PLC system and HVAC.
- Knowledge of building energy management system, energy conservation.
- Experience in IT/Networking Design /Storage will have added advantage.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders across all stages of the projects/proposals.
- Review and analysis of project requirements for clarity, understanding and feasibility of solutions.
- Ensure key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Strong problem solving skills along with the ability to pay attention to detail and ability to assimilate fragmented facts into a detailed problem statement.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to efficiently articulate technical subject matter.
