Job Description
The job incumbent will be part of a friendly team of clinical researchers and clinicians in Brain Health team (www.brainhealthlab.org) who are interested in understanding children’s brain development and self-regulation skills.
The Management Assistant Officer will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and study team members on administrative-related duties to ensure successful translation of research findings into clinical practice, policy, and the public:
- Accounting: Account projection and budgeting of grants and salaries of staff, WBS elements, operational costs, procurement, reimbursements, communication with finance staff of the institution, drafting of letters to vendors, grants applications and its reporting
- Secretarial Duties: Manage the calendar of the PI, including scheduling of meetings, teaching, research events, venues, circulation of meeting notices, attendance of weekly Tuesday team meeting, recording of minutes, and timely executive of action plans by PI
- Inventory Management: Inventory management of core equipment and electronic device maintenance, stock taking, asset inventory by keeping proper inventory and records of project assets (including funds, equipment, operational costs, submission of claims)
- Events: Plan overseas trips for visiting professors to the Brain Health team, PI, and research staff through university-approved avenues
- Communications & Outreach: Connect with the various arms of research studies within the PI’s laboratory and institutions, and act as an interface for different lab members, stakeholders, and clinical staff
Qualifications
- Diploma in Finance/Accounting
- Have relevant experience in account and finance management for 6 years or more.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
- Competent in verbal and written communication skills
- Works well in a team
