· Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer
· Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport
· Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol.
· Accurately process all cash and credit card payments.
· Handle refunds and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
· Ensure the proper handling of customer transactions, including the issuance of receipts and correct change.
· Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries or concerns.
· Provide information and assist with orders when necessary.
· Address and resolve customer complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
· Cash Handling:
· Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct.
· Secure all forms of payment and ensure proper handling of cash, checks, and credit transactions.
· Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile any discrepancies.
· Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently.
· Ensure the system is functioning correctly and report any issues.
· Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area
· Support other staff in restocking supplies and inventory management.
· Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Work with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
· Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
