Key Responsibilities in Strategic Supply Management (SSM):.
Sourcing:
- Act as a technical intermediary between Product Groups, R&D, and suppliers, ensuring early involvement in project activities, especially within the Asian region.
- Develop a globally competitive supply chain that prioritizes sustainable cost reductions and seamless integration into purchasing and production workflows.
- Identify, assess, and qualify preferred suppliers based on stringent technical criteria to meet business requirements, emphasizing optimal material quality, pricing, timing, location, and contractual terms.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, emphasizing technical aspects such as price transparency, lead times, total landed costs, and technical specifications.
- Conduct detailed analyses and generate technical statistics to monitor material costs and support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the company’s technical supply chain strategy, ensuring access to up-to-date technical insights and market information.
- Manage commodities at both module and part levels, optimizing technical aspects of procurement processes.
Purchasing:
- Support Supply Chain Management in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, with a focus on technical requirements and specifications.
- Maintain accurate technical data in ERP systems and community drives, ensuring all technical purchasing parameters, including vendor information and technical specifications, are up to date.
- Establish and manage a technical evaluation system to assess, monitor, and report supplier performance using technical scorecards based on Supplier Sustainability Management (SSM) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
