The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop aqueous based electrolytes that can enable wide voltage and stable cycles
- Synthesize cathode and anode materials in high yield with high mass loading and utilization rates
- Mechanism understanding and operation monitoring by in-situ and/or operando techniques including in-situ Raman
- Develop large-scale cells towards Ah-level cells.
- Coordinate the collaboration with other researchers in this project to maintain steady progress, and provide support to the research group on related experiments.
- Provide support to the project management and lab infrastructure, including procurement, setting up battery fabrication line, set up equipment for in-situ and/or operando characterizations, annual and final reports.
- Make regular progress reports to PI.
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. Degree in either material sciences or applied physics
- Have a demonstrated track-record of scientific productivity (journal publications, patents, etc) particularly on the topic of Zn aqueous batteries.
- Highly motivated and keen to undertake grand challenges in multidisciplinary subjects.
- To conduct the project independently without heavy training or supervision.
- Be a good team player who is capable and willing to provide supports in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
- Have reasonable oral and written communication skills in English.
