Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Manager is responsible for setting up the risk management department. He / She will oversee and manage all aspects of risk within Dementia Singapore. It involves identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, developing strategies to mitigate or eliminate these risks, and monitoring the effectiveness of risk management processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop an Enterprise Risk Management and Governance Framework.
- Develop a risk register with key risks identified, assessed, and proactively managing them.
- Advise and monitor the implementation of preventative/corrective actions and controls for key risks.
- Strengthen the 1st line of defence and enhance the risk awareness and knowledge, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to handle activities such as:
- identify and perform ongoing review of risks relative to business
objectives, highlight changes in risks or risk profile in line with
changes in the internal and external operating environment.
- identify internal risk control gaps and lead in the implementation
of preventative/corrective actions.
- recommend risk measurements in the form of key risk indicators
(KRIs) and/or key performance indicators (KPIs) for approval by
the relevant approving authority(ies).
- Responsible for key risks and incident reporting to Management, Audit Committee, and the Board.
- Participate in strategic risk management planning process.
- Establish, maintain, and communicate updates to the risk management and governance framework, policies and guidelines.
- Develop a good understanding of Dementia Singapore's operating functions and process workflows to effectively liaise, plan and facilitate continuous risk management the 1st line of defence.
- Provide guidance, training, and educational programs on risk management practices to promote risk awareness and a culture of risk ownership among staff at all levels.
- Perform the duties of a Data Protection Officer for PDPA purposes.
- Any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
- Professional Certification in risk management e.g., CRMP, PRM is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in a similar role.
- A minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in Enterprise Risk Management.
- In-depth knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks and best practices.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making ability, with a focus on driving continuous improvement in risk management processes and practices.
