About the Job:
We are looking for a Business Development Associate on a 2-year contract (with potential for full-time conversion). The Business Development Associate will need to ensure the smooth daily operations of our Centre. Responsibilities include managing phone enquiries, handling walk-ins, and registering new students and parents. You will report to the Centre Manager and collaborate closely with the Teaching & Curriculum Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Centre, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Manage phone enquiries and walk-ins efficiently, providing accurate information and support.
- Handle payment processes, including collecting payments, preparing invoices, and balancing petty cash.
- Ensure the organisation and cleanliness of classrooms, creating an optimal learning environment for students.
- Regularly stock snacks for teachers and students to maintain a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.
Customer Service & Sales:
- Advocate and implement excellent customer service practices.
- Handle parent enquiries professionally and conduct tight follow-ups to encourage enrolment.
- Assist parents and students with registration, ensuring a welcoming and smooth onboarding experience.
- Promote our tuition services to prospective parents and students, highlighting the benefits of our programs.
- Support sales initiatives and campaigns to increase student enrolment.
- Track and prepare sales report
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and support administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Provide training and guidance to new administrative staff members.
- Collaborate with the Teaching & Curriculum Team to align administrative processes with educational goals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of centre policies and procedures.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule Zoom meetings and prepare meeting minutes for the team.
- Work closely with teachers and students to ensure the correct distribution of worksheets during each lesson.
- Maintain accurate records of student enrolment, payments, and other administrative tasks.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager and Teaching & Curriculum Team to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- 2-5 years of experience in administrative, customer service, or sales roles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Independence and strong team collaboration skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills and adherence to deadlines.
- Attention to detail, honesty, integrity, and a growth mindset.
- Positive learning attitude, good listening, and communication skills.
- Singaporean (quota criteria).
Good to Have:
- 1-2 years of experience in a tuition centre.
- Fluency in Chinese (to interact with Chinese-speaking parents or students).
- Background in design or social media marketing.
- Technical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Chemistry content.
- Leadership skills.

Commitment:
- Working Hours: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend
- Weekdays: 1pm to 9pm (closed on Mondays)
- Weekends: 8.30am to 6.30pm
- OK to travel between different outlets based on roster
