Job Role & Responsibilities:
- The General Manager (Operations) with his/her vast experience and knowledge, shall provide professional guidance and inputs from the conceptual stage to the design, tender, execution and completion of all the projects. The General Manager also oversees and manages all aspects of the company operations, including Engineering, MEP, Safety, QS, Commercial and Contracts divisions to ensure that the company operates efficiently and effectively to meet its business objectives.
- He/She shall be part of the Top management team in the decision-making on corporate strategy in the tender process and be competitive in securing new projects for the company.
- He/She works with section heads, project directors and project managers to develop and implement cost-saving measures and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement.
- He/She oversees day-to-day operations of the Singapore office, and ensures all operational processes are streamlined and optimized to improve efficiency and productivity.
- He/She handles strategic planning, working closely with the corporate planning team to develop and implement the company strategic plan, ensuring that operational objectives are aligned with overall business goals.
- He/She monitors progress against the plan, adjusts as necessary and reports to the Parent company as well as the Japan head office.
Job requirements:
- Recognized Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering) or equivalent, preferably recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore or Board of Architects.
- At least 20 years of practical working experience with 10 years in Building Projects Construction Management with the Main contractor in a Senior Management role.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team of departmental heads
- Certificate in Construction Safety Course for Project Managers
- Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards
- Possessed excellent analytical problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal communication skills
