- Implement and manage a team accordance to regulatory requirements, international guidelines, and code of practice
- Drive continuous improvement
- Implement effective workplace, biosafety, and fire safety management program
- Establish sustainability initiatives, ie. effective resource allocations, engage employees & stakeholders to be more conscientious, reduce waste, recycle and reuse program, etc.
- Maintain all mandatory operating and regulatory licenses/permits, operational requirements for facility operation and ensure all SOPs, manuals remain current
- Plan OPEX and CAPEX annual budget and oversee the annual internal/external audits
- Develop and implement an effective management system
job requirement
- Degree/Post-grad degree in any science disciplines (Chemical, Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences) or equivalent
- Min 15 years of working experiences in Biocontainment, Animal or Aquatic, Plant containment or Agro, Arthropod, Radioisotope or Chemical, and Tissue Culture clean room facilities
- Experience working in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories
- Knows the requirements for storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals and biological waste
- Led in developing operation framework, drafting operation or safety SOP, reviewed
- Deep knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, international policies and standards pertaining to a research institute
