Project Overview
This project aims to ensure efficient depot maintenance and repair (M&R) activities, implement new quality control measures, and manage data effectively. The role involves overseeing multiple key components to streamline operations and enhance performance across the depot network.
Key Responsibilities
Depot Network Development
- Establish and standardize operational procedures for managing GCI depots handling dry, refrigerated, and specialized cargos (dry, reefer, specials).
- Negotiate and manage depot contracts, including fee schedules, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement procedures for reviewing depot invoices to maintain financial control.
- Implement and oversee IT systems to automate and streamline all aspects of depot operations.
- Conduct regular audits of depots to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate with the operational team to expand the network and onboard new depots.
Factory & New Procurement Quality Control
- Assist the Quality Control Technical Consultant in inspecting and overseeing the production of new cargos.
- Participate in reviews of sub-supplier vendors to identify and address product-related issues.
- Oversee the integration of newly produced pallets into GCI's asset system, focusing on automation.
- Manage warranty claims and resolve in-service equipment issues efficiently.
Systems Development
- Gather market data and generate regular reports and market intelligence to inform GCI decisions.
- Identify opportunities for enhancements to existing systems to improve efficiency.
- Recommend and implement IT system improvements to support efficient and automated operations.
