Job Duties:
- Provide support to Deputy International Head of Legal & Compliance to manage, support and oversight of the legal and compliance functions of East Asia and Middle East insurance subsidiaries and branches.
- Advise, Monitor and administer Group standards, policies and benchmark guidelines/framework/process (including matters relating to JSOX and Group Control Standards) for the East Asia and Middle East insurance subsidiaries and branches on matters relating to JSOX and Group Control Standards.
- Liaison to Japanese Head Office Legal & Compliance Department including the coordination and management of Japanese regulators.
- Support, plan, manage and oversee the execution of Group & regional legal & compliance initiatives and regional compliance projects, including tracking and monitoring the progress of Group Companies’ compliance projects.
- Manage and prepare Japanese reporting to Japanese Head Office with regards to compliance incident reporting and assessment.
- Perform compliance reviews of Group Companies’ operations and resources.
- Support the Company’s management of Japanese expatriates accounting and reimbursements including work visa matters.
- Overseas business travel is required for this position.
Requirements:
- University Degree with accounting or professional insurance qualifications.
- At least 10 years of experience in a multi-national insurance company with East Asia and Middle East exposure.
- Proficiency in Japanese language is required to liaise with Japan HQ and to read Japanese reports/documents.
- Analytical with good report writing, presentation and communication skills in both English and Japanese language.
