The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is inviting applications for the position of Research Fellow. The Research Fellow will support the research for the project involving the use of membrane technology for desalination, resource recovery, and clean energy production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, water reuse, resource recovery etc. Specific work includes experimental setup design and construction, experiment design and testing, process modelling, data processing and reporting, progress report preparation, paper publication, assistance in research proposal preparation, etc.
- Mentor junior PhD students, master students, undergraduate students for their research projects.
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree from a reputable university in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, etc.
- Relevant research experience on membrane technology and separation technologies
- Relevant research experience in RO/NF/FO/PRO/ion exchange membrane fabrication and/or TFC membrane fabrication and/or organic chemical synthesis will be preferred.
- Excellent proposal writing and report writing skill
- Excellent journal paper publication record
- Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication and writing in English as required to publish research.
- Strong responsibility for research.
