Industry: Construction (Precast & GFRC)
Design & Planning Stage:
- Preparing initial cost estimates from sketch designs.
- Cost appraisal and advice, financial feasibility studies, cost comparison of designs in relation to client’s budget.
- Preparing Bills of Quantities from advanced drawings.
Tendering Stage:
- Preparing tender / contract documents - Conditions of Contract, Form of Building Contract, Specifications, Tender Form, Drawings and Bills of Quantities.
- Tender administration - Evaluation of submitted bids and selecting the best contractor for the project.
Contract Administration Stage:
- Visiting the site on a regular basis to take measurements of work in progress.
- Assist in contract administration
- Preparing progress claims and liaise with clients on claims and variation costs
- Accounting for materials on site.
- Obtaining quotations, compare prices and prepare bill of quantities
- Preparing Bills of Remeasurements.
- Preparing cashflow and cost reports
- Ensuring and enforcing contractor compliance with contract clauses. Handling disputes between contractor and client.
- Preparing the Final Account.
Requirements:
- Min. Degree in Building Construction, Quantity Surveying or its equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience in Quantity Surveyor (Construction Precast)
- Candidates with relevant experience as subcontractor with relevant Construction Quantity Surveyor (Precast) will be an advantage
- Good communicationa and coordination skills
