Associate Engineer (Failure Analysis and Reliability) is responsible for supporting and managing activities of Reliability and Failure Analysis lab.
Responsibilities
- Support and perform Analysis / Reliability jobs requested by internal/external stakeholders for process rejects, qualification / evaluation samples, RMAs; and provide the results to the making of final reports.
- Plans out daily / shift task for FA & REL operators ensuring timely completion.
- Ensure hand-over of jobs to next shift.
- Provide mentorship & guidance to operators.
- Provide basic maintenance & care to tools and machines.
- Maintenance of workplace to meet 5S and safety requirement.
- Support setups from established procedures where applicable.
- Contribute to capabilities / techniques enhancement for better precision and efficiency.
- Contribute to lab network & infrastructure setup for task enablement.
- Support internal and external audit.
- Other ad-hoc activities assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- Minimum diploma in Material/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or silimar discipline
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in FA techniques such as cross-section of components and other material composites, ion-mill, SAT, x-ray, SEM, EDX, EMMI, Curve Trace and Chemical Decap.
- Understanding and knowledge of JEDEC Reliability Test Requirement and Procedures, including MSL, HTS, TC, HAST/uHAST and PCT.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics with understanding of semiconductor device issues and be able to associate the relevance of FA & REL test
- Experience wroking in semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work independently and effectively deliver under tight timelines
- Flexible to work under various shift pattern. The selected candidates will start with office hours, followed by Morning/Afternoon Shift and finally 12-hour rotating shift between day and night
