Assist the workshop manager to oversee, coordinate & prioritize all service work performed in the workshop, including:-
- Servicing, repairs, diagnostic and testing of motors, transformer & generators as well as welding, sand blasting and painting
- Assist in managing day to day operations, trouble shooting decisions and actions
- Monitor ongoing time-and-material costs for each job
- Provide technical support for customers when necessary, including confirming technical or engineering modifications & ensuring service satisfaction
- Observe and ensure all service personnel comply with all safety procedures and use proper protective gear
- Provide support to service personnel & ensure compliance to Risk Assessment as outlined and commitment to all OH&S activities
- Ensure that testing/diagnostic activities are conducted in a safe manner
- Ensure that service personnel are well trained to perform their tasks and including the safe use of any equipment
- Coordinate the repair and maintenance of all workshop equipment
- Carry out disciplinary actions for non-compliance in accordance with company policy
Requirements
- Possess Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of relevant experience in marine or oil/gas industry and those with servicing experience of motor or transformer or generator or supervising mechanical work will be an added advantage
- Effective interpersonal/communication/presentation skills
- Independent, good team player, leadership and result oriented
- IT savvy
- Require to travelling when needed
- Possess own vehicle
