Purchasing Officer – Salary up to $4,500
Duration: 12 months (Estimate date: July 2024 or earlier)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday (between 0830hrs – 1800hrs)
Purchasing Officer
We are looking for a pro-active and dynamic individual, with experience in the planning and execution of services for the acquisition of products and services. You will be part of a team that partners with internal stakeholders and carries out procurement transactions. This involves vetting requests, such as reviewing the approval of requirement, specification of requirement, small value purchases (SVP), invitation to quote (ITQ) or invitation to tender (ITT) documents; and clarifying where details are incomplete.
To optimise resources and achieve value-for-money outcomes, you will partake in review of contract details together stakeholders, eg, review status of active and/or completed contracts. You will be oriented with the necessary information and resources for such task.
Requirements:
- Possess a tertiary qualification. Procurement experience in the Public Sector with knowledge on Government Procurement procedures, will be advantageous;
- Possess good analytical skills and has effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders’ purchasing needs;
- Meticulous team worker who is able to deliver tasks with minimum supervision;
- Good time management and be able to meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and SAP would be an advantage.
