Legal Counsel - $9k to $14k (AWS + Bonus + Allowances)
Reporting to General Counsel / Head. Legal, Risk & Compliance.
Office hours: Monday to Friday (830am – 6pm)
We are seeking for a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our client dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice and support across a wide range of issues pertinent to our operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while safeguarding the organization's interests.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice and guidance on various matters including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and other related agreements with project partners and sub-contractors;
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with sponsors, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Identify legal risks and implications associated with business and propose appropriate courses of action.
- Ensure adherence to local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to sports organizations.
- Manage disputes, litigation, and arbitration proceedings, liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance legal compliance and operational efficiency.
- Board Solutions, board minutes and general company secretarial paperwork; and compliance with corporate governance standards and best practices.
- Support the organization in matters related to corporate governance, ethics, and regulatory filings.
- Conduct legal training sessions for staff members to promote awareness of legal issues and compliance requirements.
