This position is for a role in the Limitless SAFEHOUSE Team, which will provide community mental health support and intervention through Discord to youths aged 12 - 25.
The incumbent will be working with youths and volunteers in a mostly online environement and will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Conduct individual online support sessions with young people experiencing various mental health challenges. Including therapeutic and psychosocial interventions.
- Provide training, supervision and guidance to volunteers
- Outreach and engagement
- Manage and grow the online community in SAFEHOUSE
- Work with partner organizations for collaboration
- Engaging with young people in online spaces like Discord, Instagram, TikTok, and online forums.
- Generate creative content ideas for these platforms to promote mental health awareness.
Requirements
- A Bachelors of Masters degree in a related field (Social Work, Counselling, Psychology) is preferable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (eg. understand how to use pivot tables, data cleaning, processing, and entry)
- Good understanding of mental health resources and support services.
- Prior experience in the helping profession (internship, volunteer work, or paid experience).
- Personable, empathetic, and able to connect and engage with young people online.

- Has a strong desire and passion to reach out to young people who may be struggling
Preferred
- Clinically trained with experience working directly with clients.
- Proven ability to manage crisis situations with a calm and collected approach.
