Core Responsibilities
- Develop advanced blockchain protocols involving ZK proofs, FHE, and conventional cryptographic tools relevant to blockchains.
- Help develop practical applications using the above tools.
- Keep up to date on emerging capabilities in a fast-moving domain and identify where and how new capabilities can be applied.
- Analyze and anticipate how adversaries may attempt to subvert or misuse applications.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities
- Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options with the underlying trade-offs, and where appropriate, leading to resolution.
- Ability to prioritize personal and team workloads to best meet organizational objectives.
- Empowered to make decisions and recommend approaches based on the results from quality reviews.
Other Responsibilities
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Actively promote the research done through blogposts, twitter threads, podcasts.
- Engage with researchers on a regular basis on open forums and discussion boards.
Job Requirements
- Deep understanding of blockchains, cryptography in particular ZK proof systems, system/network security and distributed systems.
- A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, physics, or engineering preferred.
- Masters or PhD degree preferred.
- For those with a PhD degree, you must have published high impact research work at top-tier security conferences.
