Manager – Marketing Communications (Surgery)
Being part of the Marcomms Team in the Ops & Admin Department, you will work closely with clinicians, nurses and administrators from both the Department of Surgery and Department of Urology. The incumbent will be responsible for increasing the profile of our services and people to local and international institutions and patients.
Job Responsibilities
• Professional Education
o Work with Clinical Directors and Head of Departments to lead and drive (from conceptualization to execution) scientific education symposiums for transplant professionals;
• Public Education
o Partner with institutions/ societies/ organizations for outreach programmes to raise awareness;
• External and Internal Communications
o Plan and develop comms strategies to profile Surgery & Urology positively through the various media (including social media, mass media, collaterals, etc)
o Work closely with internal organization’s group Comms team for both internal and external communication channels - including collateral development and production, media monitoring and management;
• Department’s Events / Activities
o Organize and support the department’s events and activities as well as help manage the department’s corporate contents on website and social media; and
Able to work independently Supervising and appraising staff performance and promoting professional development of the team members under their supervision.
• Guide and mentor junior staff.
• Disseminate and implement hospital policies & procedures.
• Ensure Policy & Procedures are current.
• Any other related duties as assigned by Reporting Officer
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management or Mass Communications;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in events, marketing/ communications, preferably in healthcare settings;
• Independent, self-driven and results-oriented;
• Creative, meticulous, with good interpersonal skills;
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
• A team player who is also able to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is expected; and
• Proficient use of Adobe Photoshop and other media software to work on creative content.
