The Finance Department ensures IPOS' financial resources are efficiently managed through proper allocation of resources and funds management. The Department is looking for a new team member to execute activities for budget planning and administration to support the business operations and strategic outcomes of the organisation.


Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director, Finance, you will:


Budget Management and Analysis:

  1. Oversee the annual budgeting/forecasting exercise and operational budgeting process in the WorkDay system to ensure optimal resource allocation to achieve strategic outcomes.
  2. Work with budget representatives to evaluate and review budget submissions by using appropriate financial indicators and benchmarks for reasonableness.
  3. Prepare the budget presentation and make suitable recommendations on budget implications for Board’s approval.
  4. Review actual budget utilisation, investigate the underlying reasons for the variances and recommend appropriate actions to improve budget markmanship.
  5. Provide business partnering to departments and offer sound advice on financial planning and
  6. analysis.
  7. Review and update policies and procedures as required, including leading IT-related implementation and enhancement projects.
  8. Take on other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.

  3. Meticulous, with a demonstration of critical and lateral thinking, good adaptability skills, and problem-solving capability.
  4. Working experience with data analytics and visualisation tools, along with hands-on experience with WorkDay system, would be an advantage.
  5. A Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant functional experience.
