Role:
- Assist with all aspects of technical projects, from planning through research, development, implementation, and monitoring, as directed by the Technical Manager.
- Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports and analyses.
- Provide technical assistance and advice to vessels as directed.
- Help maintain the technical database shared drive.
- Liaise with vendors, flag, and class under the close supervision of the Technical Manager.
- Coordinate with Ship Managers for monthly MIS updates and technical report filing.
- Perform general technical administrative tasks with good time management.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Attend conferences, seminars, and departmental and inter-departmental meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.
- Provide secretarial services to the Technical Department, including correspondence and documentation with external agencies.
- Update, maintain, and distribute the vessel position list weekly.
- Assist in creating and maintaining ship inspection reports.
- Update and maintain other technical records as required by the Technical Department.
Requirements:
- Preferably have previous experience working on ships.
- Current staff with strong administrative skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, will be considered for the role.
- A willingness to learn is the most important criterion for this role.
- No travel required.
