Job responsibilities:
1. Legal area:
A) To give support and advice to the subsidiaries regarding their legal issues
B) To provide legal services among others contract reviewing
C) To manage any other legal issues
2. Compliance area:
Contribute to the Group’s compliance initiative in ASEAN region, to:
A) establish and develop the compliance structure, including, regular and incident reporting,
B) produce and implement the compliance-related policies,
C) support the execution of risk-owners’ action plan for the specified compliance themes,
D) establish the foundation for fostering the sound compliance culture,
E) lead the regional compliance initiative,
F) carry out the group-wide compliance initiative led by GHQ or other RHQ,
G) introduce and establish the sustainable compliance training system in each subsidiary and provide compliance training/education, among others, anti-bribery, anti-corruption (ABAC) and antitrust
H) handle any other compliance issues in accordance with the instruction from GCCO, or in collaboration with the relevant Core-subsidiaries.
Requirement:
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Juris Doctor from a reputable law school
• At least 7 years of working experience in Legal and Compliance and familiar with Japanese manufacturing industry
• Business level proficiency in written and spoken Japanese is required to coordinate and provide legal support to Japanese-speaking counterparts and Headquarter
• Self-driven and passionate professional who can involve internal / external stakeholders
• Able to travel as and when required (including outside ASEAN countries)
• Possess management experience
