Position Summary:

As a Senior Director MRO/RMU Operations within Jet Aviation you will be responsible for the efficient operational management of the Singapore maintenance facilities delivering on the financial, regulatory and compliance targets. You will be accountable to ensure that all MRO projects are carried out in accordance with Jet Aviation procedures and standards of quality, meeting customer requirements and delivering profits. You will be collaborating closely with site PMO department, regional and global matrixed support functions including Strategic Global Growth (BD, Sales, Marketing, Communication), Finance, IT, Human Resources, and Legal, Contracts & Compliance to ensure that the cohesive Jet Aviation strategy set forth for your region and site is being executed.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Leads all operational MRO & RMU activities, providing clear directions and decisions to meet customer service standards, as well as financial, regulatory and compliance targets.
  • Ensure the most cost effective utilization of manpower and resources to ensure projects are completed to agreed timeline with PMO to meet financial targets and customer expectations.
  • Implements initiatives which enable staff to achieve continuous improvement of maintenance practices and procedures to increase productivity, efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Ensures the readiness, budgetary and availability of all aircraft related tooling and equipment, training, resource planning and contractors.
  • Provides technical support to aircraft engineers and technicians on a variety of technical tasks
  • Develops and recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation
  • Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action
  • Drives a continuous improvement and quality culture and ensures that employees collaborate effectively with PMO, regional as well global support functions on streamlining processes, systems, tools and delivering to customers
  • Drives a culture of trust, honesty, alignment, transparency and performance in line with JET VALUES
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, aviation regulations, and applicable GD and Jet Aviation policies.
  • Conduct business ethically according to GD Blue Book regulations, and applicable GD and Jet Aviation policies.
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree business aviation or related professional field from an accredited university or 10-15 years of relevant work experience in a P145 MRO project leadership
  • Licensed aircraft engineer
  • Strong understanding of Singapore aviation regulations and requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MRO business objectives, applicable requirements from authorities as well as compliance
  • Strong internal and external commercial awareness
  • Comprehensive business aviation industry knowledge
  • Experience in managing mixed-level team(s) of professionals and first line managers as well as technicians
  • Experience in setting standards and operational guidelines for MRO
  • Very strong communication skills for strong interaction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Excellent communications, customer service and people skills
  • Results driven – able to execute with high personal accountability
  • Strong initiative and self-direction
  • Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency)
