- Assist Purchasing Manager to manage the full spectrum of the purchasing process and documentation.
- Assist in budget and targets set in order to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Negotiate with suppliers for best deals and terms and maintaining good vendor relationships.
- Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules to expedite deliveries and monitor performance of suppliers for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the preparation of purchase orders based on approved requisitions.
- Proactively source for quotations and do pricing comparison.
- Manage suppliers to meet objectives in the area of quality, flexibility and inventory control.
- Liaise with Accounts Payable with regards to suppliers' invoices and paymet issues.
- Assist in inventory controls.
- Maintenance of purchase order files and relating purchasing records.
- Assist in tender / contract and subcontract documentation and contract signing, project documentation ie quotation, customer invoice, credit note, progress claims etc.
- Maintenance of testing equipment and monitoring items for calibration.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a minimum of 'N' level or 'O' level.
- Those with technical knowledge in Engineering is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
- Good interpersonal, communicatin skills and strong drive to deliver results.
- Proactive and meticulous and yet able to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge in ISO documentation, preferred.
- Ability to multitasking.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- Good followup skills
