Overview:
The Cards Operation Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations related to card products, such as credit cards or debit cards, within a financial institution or a company that issues cards. This role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of card-related processes, compliance with regulations, and providing strategic direction to optimize card operations.
Job Description:
- Leads and supervises a team responsible for card operations, managing card transaction processing and reconciliation, oversees card issuance, activation, and deactivation processes.
- Collaborates with customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues related to card operations.
- Works with IT teams to ensure the reliability and security of card processing systems.
- Coordinates with third-party vendors providing card-related services, negotiates contracts and collaborates with external partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Works closely with compliance and legal teams to address any regulatory issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, implement and monitor risk management practices related to card operations.
- Develops and implements strategies to enhance card operations efficiency, identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Generates and analyses reports related to card operations.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of experience in card operations, excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of card processing systems, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of risk management and compliance in the financial industry.
- Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the cards and payments sector.
