A well-established construction company is looking to hire a Commercial DIrector. Reporting to the Headquarter Division Management and in close collaboration with the Managing Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for all commercial activities of the organization - locally, regionally and internationally. As a hands-on person, the Commercial Director will overlook and manage all commercial section of the organization such as Finance & Accounting, Treasury, Controlling, Procurement, Human Resources and General Administration. As Senior Management, the candidate is responsible for the commercial execution of our construction projects as well as internal and external reporting of the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the organization through the commercial landscape.
- Overall responsibility for the development, performance and maintenance of all commercial activities.
- Organizes, leads and responsible for the basic commercial functions such as Accouting, Cost Control,
Human Resources, Treasury, Contracts Management and Procurement which are essential for the succesful
completion of construction projects.
- Direct, organize and manage the overall performance of the commercial team, delegates authorities
and responsibilities to team members.
- Develop plans and implements commercial strategies based on group goals and objectives.
- Strives to accelerate and encourage the organization's growth and success.
- Tracks, measures and analyses commercial metrics using the group KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements including but not limited to statutory obligations and
a Group's Code of Conduct, Ethics and Compliance.
- Report to Group Divison Management and stakeholder of the group and is a point of contact for HQ
associated to regional queries and the organizations business activities.
- Accountable for Profit and Loss of the Organization.
- Establishes relationships with key industry contacts, existing and potential clients and maintain an
established client base and network in the construction sector.
- Develop effective forecasting models and detailed annual projections and budgets for all the projects to ensure
optimal performance and accurate planning of resources.
Requirements:
- 15 - 20 years of relevant experience in a Senior / Executive Management role.
- Min. of 15 years in the Construction Environment - preferably internationally exposed.
- Exentsive exposure in the Construction Project Management - preferably internationally and large-scale projects.
- Well literate and experienced in Contract Administration - FIDIC.
- Proficiency in Accounting - IFRS as well as ERP Systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, AS4U.
- Academic Degree in Business Administration, Economic.
- Good knowledge of business models, objectives, financial metrics, etc.
