Job description
The audit senior works as part of an audit team or takes responsibility for running the audit, working directly with the client under audit manager and partner supervision. The audit senior supervises the audit process to ensure that our audits are of high quality. The audit senior will also, from time to time, assist in compilation and bookkeeping engagements and other ad hoc tasks assigned by the manager and partner.
Job responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review, seeking inputs for areas of concern and judgement.
- Identify and raise potential risk issues with the manager / partner, while exercising judgement within agreed parameters.
- Identify and understand client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicate and agree client needs and potential solutions with managers.
- Supervise, coach and develop junior members of staff within teams, on client premises and in the office.
- Assist in the preparation of the income tax computations / returns and estimated tax provisions
- Prepare un-audited financial statements for small and dormant companies
- Maintain a full set of accounts using accounting software
- Assist in other ad hoc tasks assigned by the partner or manager.
Job requirements
- A degree in accounting or related field
- At least 2 years experiences in the relevant field
- Strong team working skills and able to work effectively under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
- Possess strong desire to grow and improve technically and professionally.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills
- Good command of English language
- An ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Caseware will be advantageous
