The APAC Head of Claims Technology will work closely with the APAC Head of Claims to define a technology strategy and related execution plans to support multiple cross-geography and cross-business line transformation programs.
The APAC Head of Claims Technology will lead a team of Program Managers and Technology Leads in the APAC Regional Office and the APAC off-shore Business Service Centres.
The APAC Head of Claims Technology will be responsible for the management of all the Information Technology related project and activities (change, run, risk, and budget management) for the Claims portfolio of programs and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business engagement- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to build alignment and define technology strategy, technology roadmap and execution plans. Communicate on a periodic basis, negotiate success, report progress, manage and resolve risks and issues.
- Program Management – Manage multiple, concurrent global, regional, local technology programs and projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, meeting business expectations and quality standards. Ensure issues and risks are raised and managed in a timely manner. Ensure Chubb project management standards are observed.
- Systems development - Manage development of multiple solutions and systems, adhering to Chubb’s architectural standards and system development frameworks (agile and waterfall).
- Service and Risk management - Manage and report on service levels for multiple global, regional and local systems. Manage related ITIL processes (e.g. incident, problem, change management), Information Security processes (e.g. vulnerability management), and Risk Management processes (e.g. currency).
- Team Leadership - As a key member of the APAC Technology Leadership team, lead and motivate diverse, distributed Chubb and partner teams. Own the talent agenda (acquisition, retention) for the Claims technology function.
Experience required:
- 10-15 years of experience in developing and running enterprise systems, and/or managing related projects in complex, multi-geography, multi-business line environments
- 5-10 years of experience in managing a Technology function and team, in a regulated industry, ideally Financial Services
- Experience in Claims transformation would be ideal
- Experience with standard Project Management frameworks (e.g. PMP), and waterfall and agile system development methods and tools
- Experience with implementing and operating within ITIL aligned service management frameworks
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong people leadership skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
