Resident Technical Officer (RTO)

Tanglin Club

The Resident Technical Officer (RTO) reports to the Resident Manager and is responsible for the supervision of upgrading/modernization projects undertaken by the Facilities Management Department. He will be required to support the growth of the Club to create conducive, excellent and sustainable facilities for the Club. This position will be on a 2 year contract basis.


Key Responsibilities:

· Assist his supervisor to manage and supervise construction / project works, including M&E services such as ACMV, mechanical and electrical installation etc.

· Providing standing supervision as and when directed by his superiors.

· Ensure compliance with Singapore standards and regulations, as well as industry best practices, throughout all construction and installation activities.

· Conduct regular inspections to ensure adequate safety precautions, quality control and adherence to approved drawings and project specifications.

· Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project milestones are met and projects are completed within schedule.

· Attend site meeting, inspections and testing and commissioning.

· Monitor project progress, including budget and schedule updates, and report findings to management.

· Implement safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the projects.

· Monitoring contractors' activities, site progress, schedule and safety on Site.

· Review and to check through contractors’ submissions including but not limited to Risk Assessments, Method statements, materials, As-Built Drawings etc.

· Carrying out administrative works and other duties as required by Employer.

· Reviewing and checking all the drawings and specifications, and ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans/drawings.

· Maintaining project/site records.


Requirements:

· Diploma/Degree in Civil & Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a RTO in construction/MEP projects.

· Proficient in Autocad and able to interpret/update drawings.

· Good knowledge of Singapore building codes, regulations and standards.

· Proficiency in project management and construction supervision.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Prior experience in the hospitality industry will be an advantage.
