Contract Period: 3-months (from 22 July to 22 October 2024)
Working hours:
• Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 6:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
Purpose of the role:
The Team is currently seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant (RA) to play a key role in analysing transcribed focused-group discussions.
Job scope:
- The RA will be responsible for cross-checking and verifying preliminary transcriptions generated using AI transcription tools, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the transcribed content.
- Additionally, the RA will conduct a thorough preliminary analysis of the discussions, including summarising key points, identifying themes, and capturing valuable insights.
- This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Specialists and officers of the Arts Education Branch to fully understand specific requirements, details, and deadlines related to the transcribed content.
Requirement:
- capable of providing transcription and analysis of qualitative data,
- proficient in maintaining accuracy and attention to detail during transcription review and analysis,
- familiar with research methodologies and data analysis techniques; and
- possess strong communication skills for summarising and presenting key findings
- familiar with transcription verification tools or software to facilitate comparison of transcribed content with original audio recordings,
- proficient in using presentation and visualisation tools to effectively communicate the preliminary analysis findings (such as Microsoft Power Point, MS Word, Excel),
- proficient in data management and storage for organising and cataloguing transcribed content,
- familiar with tools or methods that can resolve mistakes or issues in the transcribed content, using software or processes that ensure the accuracy and quality of the transcriptions, to maintain the overall quality and reliability of the transcribed discussions.
