We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position involves shift work from Monday to Friday, with a rotation on standby during weekends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, monitor, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime and service disruption.
- Manage and automate the deployment of applications and infrastructure using AWS services and tools.
- Set up and manage monitoring systems, alerts, and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Implement and manage security best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data, including access controls, encryption, and compliance.
- Ensure proper backup and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested regularly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Work closely with development, QA, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
- Identify and implement improvements to cloud infrastructure and operations processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS cloud operations or a similar role.
- AWS Certification or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Shift and Standby Requirements:
- Regular shifts from Monday to Friday. Shift times may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.
- Participate in a rotation schedule for weekend standby. Be available to respond to critical incidents and emergencies as needed.
