The role of Senior Business Analyst based in Singapore, is required to support monthly management reporting and forecasting, annual budgeting, and any other ad-hoc projects in Global Spares & Service Business Unit (GSS). In addition, this role will serve as a financial business partner to the Director of Sales & Service in Japan.
This is an individual contributor role and reports to Manager, Business Control (GSS).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all forecast submissions for Global Spares & Service
- Consolidate and review forecast financial results of Global Spares & Service
- Work with Global Operation finance and review supplychain cost allocation
- Support budget preparation
- Support management reporting submissions to Global Spares & Service and Corporate Finance
- Business Partner to the Director Sales & Service and the Marketing manager for Japan
- Monthly forecasting and annual budgeting of Japan
- Manage month end closing activities and variance analysis for Japan
- Drive cost and efficiency improvements for Japan
- Ensure compliance on revenue recognition and with internal controls
- Warranty review and analysis
- Support financial and non-financial projects
Qualifications
- University graduate and above in Accountancy/Finance related fields
- Minimum 5 years of finance & accounting experience with a successful track record in management reporting and financial planning and analysis at regional level with experience from high-mix equipment manufacturing environment
- Flexible and able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles eg. IFRS 15.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal and must be able to effectively work in a cross-functional and global environment.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (eg. excel)
- SAP knowledge a must; with Anaplan and Power BI
- Organized, meticulous and paying attention to details
- Self-motivated and results oriented, hands on, proactive, able to prioritize to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with strong business acumen
