Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer with a strong background in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-9 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and Power BI development. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making within our banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
Create complex data models and DAX formulas to meet business requirements.
Integrate Power BI with various data sources such as SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, and other banking data systems.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Provide ad-hoc reports and data visualizations to support business units.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and other team members to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to optimize data flow and performance.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor and provide guidance to junior Power BI developers.
Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
Lead the implementation of new Power BI functionalities and upgrades.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and banking regulations.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 6-9 years of experience in business intelligence and data analysis.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
Experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Knowledge of Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
