The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) offers a full range of additive manufacturing services, from design and infrastructure to production and validation. With advanced technologies such as topology optimization, generative design, and bioinspired design, SC3DP creates optimized products using a variety of novel materials and printing processes, including hybrid printing, post-processing, and emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate pure copper or copper alloy components via additive manufacturing techniques.
- Optimize the process window to enhance the print density and surface finish.
- Investigate potential solutions for the insulation of complex metal parts.
- Perform microstructure characterization on 3D-printed samples.
- Conduct tests of the mechanical and electrical properties on 3D-printed samples.
- Collaborate with other group members (including PhD students and research staff).
- Publish research findings in reputable international journals.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge in metallic materials and additive manufacturing.
- Good publication record (at least one first-author paper in international journals).
- Experimental skills in materials characterization and properties testing.
- Strong self-motivation and responsibility for research/work.
- Good communication and writing in English.
