Job Responsibilities
- Leading a Team of Mechanical Design Engineers to execute the Mechanical Design Engineering of the Project which includes preparation of RFQ, Specifications, Mechanical Data Sheet for
- Centrifugal Pumps, PD Pumps, Submersible pumps, Marine Loading Arm, Oil / Water Separator,
- Gangway, Jib Crane, Fire Fighting Equipment, Mixers, Gas Dehydration Package, Air
- Compressor and Dryer Package, Nitrogen Generation Package, Chemical Injection Package,
- Process Filters, Vessels etc. meeting Process Requirement, Client Specifications, Project
- Requirements and all applicable Project Documents to enable Vendors to accurately bid for the supply of Equipment.
- Review & Checking of Mechanical Documents such as RFQ, Specifications, Mechanical DataSheet and Technical Bid Evaluation for Mechanical Equipment to ensure compliance to applicable Codes & Standards and Project Requirements
- Review of Vendor Quotation, Evaluation & Preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation for
- Mechanical Equipment
- Interface Management with Lead Engineers, Client, Contractors, Vendors, Government Agencies and Certification agencies
- Preparation, Monitoring and Control Engineering Document Control List and expedite for delay/approvals / resolution of open issues
- Review and Ensures that all works are carried out in accordance with project specification.
- Maintain Design integrity and quality within the Project Engineering Team
- Preparing Engineering schedule and Engineering man hours estimation to meet project requirements.
- Supporting Procurement Team for purchase of Mechanical Equipment
- Review of Vendor Documents post order of all the Mechanical Equipment to ensure compliance to RFQ and other Discipline requirements.
- Co-ordination with construction and commissioning team in resolving site issues.
- Vendor Co-ordination & Procurement Assistance
- Preparation and Compliance for Engineering Audit Requirements.
- Job assignments, Mentoring and Supervision of works for Designers and Design Engineers.
- Technical assistance to construction activities and attending to Site Queries.
- Participates in discipline and inter-discipline design check and screening meetings for
- compatibility, completeness and correctness in works
- FEED & Pre-Bid works which involves Feasibility study & MTO estimation works.
- Participate in Bid Clarification Meeting, Kick Off Meeting, Pre-inspection Meeting, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test etc.
- Vendor Shop visit for Work Progress
- Support Construction Team and Commissioning Team for the successful installation and commissioning of the Mechanical Equipment
- To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
- To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
- Any other ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- Preferably Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Preferably 10 - 15 years of experiences in Oil and Gas industry Software Requirements
- Good proficiency in MS Excel, MS word, MS Power Point
