Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual who will assist with field surveys and mariculture research based at the St John’s Island National Marine Laboratory.
Job Scope includes:
- Conduct regular biodiversity field surveys (intertidal).
- Specimen processing including Imaging
- Conduct daily animal husbandry
- General maintenance and housekeeping of field equipment and aquarium
- Procurement for project needs
- Assist in data analysis and report writing/scientific paper writing
- General administrative duties
- Other duties as and when assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognised University, majoring in Biology, Zoology, or equivalent
- Proficiency in oral and written English
- Able to work in a team and independently
- Experience with animal husbandry and fieldwork will be an advantage
- Strong interest in marine science
- Job position is based at the St John’s Island National Marine Laboratory, St John’s Island.
Ferry transport to work will be provided.
