Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining and implementing the company’s sourcing strategy across his/her categories in collaboration with the Sourcing Director under kids and ladies line of garment wear
- Drive sourcing strategy to support strategic opportunities, global balance and help Meijer achieve our financial plans
- Manage multiple product categories with varying levels of detail
- Assess risk of kid wear design, construction, trims etc with QA team at development stage and guide vendors to follow safety requirements to minimize quality concerns
- Evaluate capabilities of new/existing vendors to ensure styles are allocated to the right vendors
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks/projects when required
Job Requirement:
- Posses Bachelors in Business Management or related discipline
- 5-10 years relevant merchandising experience, preferably with a buying office
- Travelling is required
