Our Procurement department consists of teams of buyers, working with both Strategic and Operational procurement in Denmark and Singapore. The position will be based in Singapore and supporting the operational purchasing in Denmark. The Job:


In this position you will be part of the Products and Technology division working with the project teams. You will be taking the responsibility for negotiating the commercial terms with the suppliers, and through a disciplined and organized approach, highlight and manage any risks to the projects that may arise from the supply base. You will also get the opportunity to take the responsibility for the procurement activities on small / medium scale projects as well as supporting the management on larger scale projects.


Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Involved in supply chain activities like sourcing, request for quotation, purchase order creation, logistic arrangement and payment process in the project execution stage.
  • To work closely with the project managers and support them in their acquisition demands for projects.
  • Interact and cooperate with the Project teams by negotiate best pricing, payment terms and conditions with suppliers, create PO’s, ensure delivery on time and minimize potential risks in the supply chain.
  • Issue Purchase Orders in a timely manner to suppliers and ensure that POs are raised correctly in IFS (quantities and specifications) and necessary approvals are obtained within timelines before purchases.
  • To work closely with Global procurement team to achieve coordinated effort in securing the best offer from suppliers in the global market.
  • To initiate shipment (import & export), raise commercial Invoice and packing list, arrange Warehouse for pick & pack and coordinate with Supplier for logistics arrangements.
  • Work with forwarding agents for quotations, monitoring import and export shipment, verify import & export permit declaration and engage local delivery and overseas shipment
  • Support Project & Tender team for freight cost and logistics planning.
  • Focus on Total cost of ownership (TCO) though-out the supply chain
  • To facilitate and coordinate the discussion between engineers and suppliers to achieve a common agreement and understanding of supply requirement.
  • To mediate issues and problems between internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Job Requirements


You are ambitious, results-oriented, a great negotiator and enjoy working in a dynamic international environment. It is likely that you have 3 years + of Procurement experience and it is key that you are capable, confident and experienced in Project Procurement Management.

You must have the tact and ability to work in a large industrial corporation along with a global mind-set and strong relationship building skills, as a key task will be to align the local supplier strategy with the overall group supplier strategy. You possess a degree in Business Administration or Engineering and whilst experience of the Energy / Offshore / Oil & Gas industry or its products is an advantage, it is not a requirement.
