Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation and management of full sets of accounts
- Handle financial reporting, banking, tax, GST and audit
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery for month-end/year-end closing
- Monitor and ensure the firm comply with all legal and regulatory including solicitor accounts and tax rullings
- Liaise with external auditors, oversee and facilitate audit process for annual financial audit including preparation of financial statements
- Liaise with tax agents and handle tax submissions
- Handle ad-hoc project such as implementation of new systems
- Manage, review and guide the finance staff in their scope of work which includes but not limited to AR/AP/GL transaction postings, cash/bank accounts management and bank reconciliation, maintenance of fixed assets register
- Preparation of quarterly GST submission
- Maintenance of balance sheet schedules
- Improve and streamline finance work flow
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements:·
- Degree in Accountancy, ISCA, ACCA or other equivalent professional qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial accounting, preferably in legal services environment
- Good understanding of accounting practices and principles and tax regulations
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Meticulous and organised individual with strong initiatives
- Positive work attitudes and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked and fast paced environment with firm deadlines
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in LegalPac system will be a plus
- Proficient with MS Office especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
