Uhlmann is a German based company and the world market leader in supplying packaging systems for the pharmaceutical industry with manufacturing sites in Germany, U.S.A, China and Singapore. To complete our Sales Department, we are looking for a Sales Manager.


Job brief

We are looking for a Sales Manager to manage our partners, expand our customer base and achieve sales quotas in our APAC region.

If you’re passionate about capturing sales and working with people in a variety of environments, you might be a perfect match for our Regional Sales Manager position. We’re looking for an ambitious professional with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding their sales target, managing partners and successfully grow and generate new business.

Your role would be to oversee certain markets while working together with the local partners in the Asia Pacific region.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous regional sales experience within Asia Pacific selling B2B complex solution and effectively managing partners within the region. Our ideal candidate combines excellent communication skills, good sales instinct and the drive to succeed.

Ultimately, you will ensure your area of responsibility meet and exceed the expectations of our business objectives and contribute to Uhlmann’s success in the long run.


Responsibilities

  • Setting and ensuring target for the partners in the region are met as per Uhlmann’s sales playbook
  • Manage sales activities through both direct sales and partners for the responsible territories
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts, sales activities report and regular update on overall market situation, competition and new business opportunities
  • Responsible for the complete sales project lifecycle from lead generation to closure
  • Drive and develop key customer relationships through customer satisfaction with the foundation of trust and loyalty
  • Establish new accounts and introduce the company’s value proposition to key decision makers
  • Qualify technical enquiries from the customer before delegating to the team for the quotation process
  • Conduct sales visit, exhibitions, seminars and trainings as required through sales strategy planning and market requirements

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Automation / Packaging or others related
  • Min. 5 years relevant experience in complex B2B Technical Sales or related function
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written. Competency in other language in the region is preferred
  • Technical skill is a must; the candidate must have a keen interest and be able to understand complex automated machineries, preferably in packaging lines
  • The candidate knows what it takes to pursue new customers from cold calling to order closing
  • Good negotiation skills and experience in selling high value-added product, and the ability to deal with highly competitive sales environment
  • Self-driven with high integrity, pro-active attitude with the ability to work both independently as well as in team environments at all levels of the company
  • Stakeholder management skills is required to be able to successfully manage partners, internal and HQ departments
