The Product Manager shall be responsible for the creation of opportunity with existing and new drug manufacturers/suppliers chosen by the Company to secure representation to market and distribute their products in the region so as to increase the Company’s business. The incumbent shall be required to negotiate with our existing and new suppliers on the pricing and annual quantity as well as working with the Regulatory Affairs team to obtain government’s approval to import the new products.
1. Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Work closely with the Sales team to identify potential drugs, supplements, medical devices, etc., that the Company can market and distribute in the region.
· Contact and negotiate with existing manufacturers/suppliers to seek out their new products for our representation and distribution.
· Identify new drug and medical devices manufacturers/suppliers to obtain representation and distribution rights to import and market their products in the region.
· Request for information of new products from manufacturers/suppliers so as to develop a business case for CEO’s approval.
· Co-ordinate with Regulatory Affairs team to identify the classification of new products and obtain approval from relevant government agencies for importation and sales.
· Discuss and negotiate with manufacturers/suppliers on pricing and annual committed quantity as well as any other terms and conditions of representation.
· Conduct due diligent and reference checks on new manufacturers/suppliers prior any contracts discussion.
· Work with the Sales Manager to establish the selling price for the new products as well as to develop the marketing and sales strategies to launch the new products to the market.
· Ensure that the manufacturers/suppliers’ database is maintain up-to-date.
· Ensure all the manufacturers/suppliers’ agreements are proper filed and remain valid.
· Monitor the monthly performance and profitability of the new products as well as identify any issues relating to their sales and distribution.
· Submit monthly reports to the CEO on the status of the all the BD projects as well as performance and profitability of new products.
· Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Business Development Director or CEO.
