The Role
As a Junior QA Tester at Refract Technologies, you’ll hop, skip and jump hand in hand with our Applied Tech and Product teams to ensure products in the AXIS portfolio work as intended.
This role will see you at the forefront of testing various software and hardware for bugs and ensuring that they are communicated clearly to the development teams. You’ll work with our Quality Assurance team to write and execute test cases, alongside maintaining databases and preparing reports.
If detail is your middle name, and you aren’t afraid to get physical (it is motion capture software, after all) - we’d love to speak with you!
For this role, we're open to reviewing candidates pursuing internships, or a 6 month contract role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Test software or game products using method and tools established by Senior/Lead QA
- Execute all test plans established by Senior/Lead QA in timely manner.
- Verify software or game products based on the expected results or design requirements.
- Create and maintain test cases based on product requirements.
- Create defects (bugs) with concise reproduction steps and accurate observations.
- Track bugs and follow up until they are resolved.
- Send out and document test reports on all the relevant communication medium.
- Complete QA tasks from Senior/Lead QA in timely manner.
- Participate in exploratory and debugging tests to isolate issues or steps to reproduce.
- Create QA documentation related to guides and method.
- Participate in providing qualitative feedback to software or games products.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong communicator, able to relay precise information in a succinct yet detailed manner
- Able to sustain periods of physical activity.
- Able to work and make decisions independently.
- Proficiency with common productivity tools - G-Suite, Office etc.
- High level of information organisation and documentation
Significant Add-Ons
- An inherent interest in gaming, technology - especially in VR/MR/AR.
- Previously educated in similar field.
- An interest in sports and fitness is highly preferred.
