Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance (actual, forecast, budget) for institutions within the organization.
- Prepare consolidated financials for management and statutory reporting.
- Review accuracy of headcount and patient volumes in consolidated reports.
- Analyze institutions' financials and key ratios.
Budgeting and Projections:
- Assist in annual budget and projection cycles.
- Prepare projection/budget assumptions, templates, and board papers.
- Analyze and review cost recovery ratios.
Audit and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and finance policies for new and developing accounting matters.
- Act as the main liaison with 1FSS, site finance, and auditors regarding key accounting and audit requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate the timeline for interim and year-end audits to ensure smooth completion.
- Consolidate Group and Company financial statements for statutory reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors on audit inquiries.
Systems and Processes:
- Assist in matters related to BPC consolidation/budget system and Chart of Accounts (COA) mapping/harmonization.
- Work with MOHH, 1FSS, and other clusters to harmonize COA and ensure SAP and BPC mappings are aligned.
- Liaise with MOHH/Synapxe consultants for system setup changes and issue rectifications.
- Provide guidance to FSS-GL and institutions’ Finance on issues and submissions.
Policy Formulation:
- Formulate and update cluster finance policies to ensure they remain relevant and up-to-date.
- Provide active responses to finance policy queries raised by internal stakeholders.
Liaison and Coordination:
- Liaise with MOHH and MOH on reporting matters.
- Ensure smooth coordination and completion of the annual external audit cycle.
Support and Improvement:
- Collect and analyze data to support management’s decision-making, including tracking AR days, monitoring bad debts write-off, and productivity ratios.
- Identify and implement ways to improve productivity and cost management.
Other Duties:
- Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
Education/Training/Experience:
- A good and recognized degree in Accountancy.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Prior experience in external audit and financial consolidation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP and BPC is an added advantage.
