Get to know the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to take part of the Team. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality deliverables, spanning across multiple key services powering end to end user journeys across all the different products of our superapp. These services are one of the top entry points for Grab services, with millions of visitors every day across 8 countries in total. We're seeking candidates who embody accountability, display a relentless hunger for learning and improvement, thrive in autonomy, and possess the drive to consistently go above and beyond expectations.
The Day-to-Day Activities
Design and write with the cutting-edge GO language to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Grab's range of services
Explore and create new design/architectures geared towards scale and performance
Work closely with the infrastructure team in building and scaling back-end services as well as performing root cause analysis investigations
Design, build, analyze, and fix large-scale systems
Debug and modify complex, production software that serves millions of users in Southeast Asia
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
