Job Title: IT Operations Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist with a diverse skill set encompassing basic network administration, Linux expertise, data centre management, IT helpdesk support, knowledge of business continuity practices, familiarity with trading product setups, and a basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Responsibilities:
1. Basic Network Administration:
· Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices.
· Ensure network security protocols and procedures are implemented.
· Perform network monitoring and analysis.
2. Linux Hands-On:
· Manage Linux-based systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
· Troubleshoot Linux server and application issues.
· Implement security measures and updates on Linux systems.
3. Data Centre Hands-On:
· Oversee the physical and virtual infrastructure of data center facilities.
· Ensure proper functioning of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
4. IT Helpdesk:
· Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
· Respond promptly to support tickets and inquiries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
· Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
5. Business Continuity Knowledge:
· Develop and maintain business continuity plans and procedures.
· Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective disaster recovery strategies are in place.
· Conduct regular tests and drills to evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity measures.
6. Basic Trading Product Setup:
· Assist in setting up trading products, including product mapping and trading connectivity.
· Collaborate with trading teams to ensure smooth integration of trading systems.
· Troubleshoot trading-related issues and liaise with vendors as necessary.
7. Cybersecurity Focus:
· Implement cybersecurity measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber attacks.
· Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
· Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and implement remediation measures.
Qualifications:
· Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
· CCNA certification or equivalent experience in network administration.
· Proficiency in Linux system administration, including shell scripting.
· Hands-on experience with data centre operations and infrastructure.
· Prior experience in IT helpdesk support roles.
· Knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery principles.
· Familiarity with trading systems and basic trading product setups is a plus.
· Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
· Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL are desirable.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Able to communicate in English and Chinese due to frequent interactions with China HQ and Chinese-speaking clients
