What will you do?

In this position, you will join our Buildings business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of projects. We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it is the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • Engage in sustainability projects, building physics studies and perform relevant research to proactively propose solutions to clients in achieving the desired sustainability rating or project target.
  • Assist with the project process for Building sustainability Assessment tools (such as Green Mark, LEED, WELL, GBI, etc.), identifying strategies to reduce buildings’ environmental impact and advisory projects, and providing strategies to help with client’s Net Zero carbon roadmap or decarbonisation targets.
  • Liaise with the project team, clients, contractors, and suppliers on matters related to ESD and green rating assessment tools including (but not limiting to) data compilation, calculation, verification, and green rating tool submission.
  • To have strong knowledge and to provide advice on ETTV/OTTV, energy modelling, and simulations on CFD, daylight and glare, solar, etc.
  • To mentor and guide the junior consultants within the team on decarbonisation & sustainability strategies as well as industry trends, with thorough understanding on the reasoning behind the sustainability tools and calculations. To also possess sound knowledge of sustainability related concepts & Net Zero practices in other disciplines (i.e., electrical, mechanical, structural, environmental).

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

  • An Engineering or Building Science Diploma/Degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Sustainability accreditation experience like GM AP, GM AAP, LEED AP, WELL Certified, with understanding of BCA Green Mark, LEED, GBI, WELL, Greenship, and other green rating system.
  • Possess drawing & 3D modelling skills using AutoCAD, Google Sketchup/Revit; model generation in IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions) software and ECOTECT Analysis software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Singapore green building construction practices, and understanding of building practice, design, and systems (particularly in HVAC systems and other M&E disciplines) is required.
  • Ability to operate daylight and shading simulation models, run energy and CFD simulation will be advantageous.
