Job Responsibilities:
- Merchandise Planning: Develop seasonal merchandise plans in collaboration with the product development and sales teams. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks.
- Price Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, discounts, and payment terms with principles to achieve cost savings and maintain competitive pricing for resale.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to gather input and insights for sales booking.
- Assortment Selection: Curate product assortments that meet the needs and preferences of target customers. Determine product mix, styles, colors, and pricing strategies based on consumer insights and sales performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and stock levels to optimize product availability and minimize excess inventory. Collaborate with the logistic/warehouse team to ensure timely replenishment and allocation of merchandise.
- Promotions and Pricing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and pricing plans. Monitor pricing competitiveness and profitability, and make recommendations for pricing adjustments as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to product quality, supply chain disruptions, and market fluctuations. Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Sales Analysis: Analyze sales performance by product category, SKU, and channel from all the business units. Identify sales trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present regular reports and insights to key stakeholders.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, including product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns. Identify competitive threats and opportunities, and make recommendations to stay ahead in the market.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and supply chain. Communicate effectively with external partners, including vendors, suppliers, and retailers.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum Diploma / Bachelor Degree
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
