Founded in Singapore in 2004, Akribis Systems is a motion control company that provides high precision direct drive motors. We construct products for a range of industries including renewable energy, semiconductor, communication, biomedical, robotics or any industry that requires precise motion.
We produce direct drive motors with a high force density and patented coil design that decreases cogging. Our linear and rotary motors also are available with stages that we manufacture ourselves so you can smoothly integrate the motor into your design.
More than simply a manufacturer, we are also innovators. Our deep knowledge of engineering and dedication to the work has resulted in 92 patents, and our research and development into the field of magnetics will only continue to grow our business. Our engineers are able to custom design motors and stages to your specific requirements with you as a co-developer.

Department Overview:
The Stage Product Development focuses on bespoke designs for customers in a wide range of industries, such as semiconductor, solar, flat panel, hard disk, LED, printed circuit board and 3D printing. In these stages and systems, it comprises of many components such as motors, encoders, bearings, designed fabricated parts, pneumatics, and many more to assemble into a multi-axis stage specifically designed to meet specifications provided by customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with customers
- Understand specifications or requirements from customers
- Design or illustrate electrical diagrams, cables and control boxes
- Liaise with various departments such as purchasing and manufacturing to generate lead times for customers Generate Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Generate engineering drawings ready for fabrication
- Verify or qualify cables or electrical components to see if it is suitable to be used for usage on a stage Work hand in hand with the cabling and testing team to troubleshoot issues
- Work closely with engineers from various departments like Applications, Mechanical, Motor, Encoder, Manufacturing to ensure progress of projects
- Guide technicians in the assembly floor for prototype stages
- Hands-on in the assembly floor and make decisions to modify or change parts in the design Conduct basic tests to characterize and measure specifications during testing phase
- Conduct investigative works and make proper assessment of issues from Return Material Authorization (RMA)
- Generate Engineering Change Notice (ECN)
- Generate Work Instruction (WI) Perform tasks related to project closure
- Prepare documents and work with respective departments to run stages into mass production
- Must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering
- Applicants with experience in electrical or mechatronic related fields will be advantageous
- Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge in their course of study are welcome to apply
Skillset(s) Requirement:
- Drafting using EPLAN, NanoCAD, AutoCAD and Draftsight
- Microsoft tools such as Excel, Words and Powerpoint
- Cabling tools such as soldering irons, crimpers and multimeters
Attributes:
- Must be able to work well with a colleagues of all traits. Engineers, technicians, purchasers, project managers, etc.
- The job is hard core engineering, therefore the applicant needs to be able to cope with his/her time and work
